The book was born years after backpacking through Latin America during one of the most challenging periods of my life.
A motorbike accident in Bali left me with a battered foot and knee, rendering me immobile for a month. It took three painstaking months to walk normally again. It was during this time the idea of writing about my travels started to grow on me. Writing became my sanctuary, my beacon of hope.
Every morning, I’d rise, shower, eat, and then pour my soul onto the pages. It was, in many ways, therapeutic. Despite the adversity, I’m grateful for those months that allowed me to craft this piece.
