It is OK!
You have done nothing today apart from eating, scrolling down on social media and watching some random series. It is OK. We are all on the same page and as bad as I hate having those days, it happens. I just wanted you to be kind to yourself during this Covid-19 time.
Let me tell you, on my first week of quarantine I got up everyday after 11 am and the only things I did were: chatting and video-calling my family and friends; scrolling down on social media (about 4 – 6 hours a day) and eating. I had one of the most unproductive week of the year. BUT IT IS FINE. After finishing my exams at university ( I just finished my quarter), I was tired and I needed to sleep, relax and literally do nothing. So do you, maybe?
However, after the first week my productivity level is almost back to normal. WHY? Because I finally let me body and mind rest. Maybe it is just that what you need. Rest and do useless things for a week in other to get back to normal. After that, let me share with you a few tips that also helped to get back to normal routine and productivity times.
FIRST: Acting as if I was getting ready to work/school everyday
Although I am staying in all day, on my second week I went back to my normal morning routine. Making my bed, taking a shower, putting on clothes as if you were going to work, and doing my make up;
SECOND: Set at least 1 or 2 activities to finish in the day
The days can pass by quite quick if we do not set goals or things to do. During quarantine time, more than ever, I am establishing my daily tasks. The feeling of accomplishing something daily can make you feel so much better (at least, that works with me).
THIRD: Even in a small apartment, keep the habit of getting up and moving
I spend hours on my desk and looking at my phone. Remaining myself to get up, take breaks more often, and walk around the house has helped to maintain my sanity levels. Have you tried this?
On my next post, I am sharing some tips about how I keep myself busy at home. My routine, the projects I am working on and what I have changed not to go insane at home.
If you enjoyed this post, please share it.
