I know you all get excited when I post something about love and dating. As you might have seen in my Instagram profile, 2020 has been a year for me to dedicate to myself and making myself happier. However, about two weeks ago, I download one of these dating apps. It did not take me long to spot a few disasters and mistakes guys are making in the dating world.
So, if you are a guy, looking for a girl: keep reading because I am sure you will learn something from me today.
1. No one cares about your car
Dude, I am not looking for a new car. I am looking for a new guy. Why do guys post pictures of their cars? I do not care about what you drive! I really do not. Maybe others do but I honestly believe this is an ego thing and a waste of pictures on the profile.
2. Stop posting pictures with kids from Africa, Asia, or Latin America
This goes for guys and anyone on social media! Did you ask permission to take pictures with the kids? Did you let them know you would be promoting yourself as a nice person with their faces? I AM TOTALLY against this and every time I see pictures like this, it is a NO!
3. What is the point of posting pictures with a bunch of friends
Dude, I have never seen you. If in four out of five pictures you are with your friends, how am I going to identify you? Embrace your face and make things easy for me. Cause it does take time sometimes spotting the one who is looking for a girl.
4. Stop using pictures when you are around HOT GIRLS
Dude, it is not because you are around HOT girls that I will like you! I do not need to see someone else approved you as a cute dude to go out for coffee with you. Fair if you want to have few pictures with guy & girl friends BUT that is not the point of a dating app. I kind of want to see your face and shape to see if it is match with my expectations. All the rest is garbage.
5. Stop using grandpa and mom pictures
From time to time there are those who like to show how adorable mom and grandpa are. That is cute but if everything goes well, there is so much time to meet your family. No need to show them even before our first date! YES? Agreed?
